Well I don't about any of that but I got in! :D I've finally logged into my work pc from my house. It is truly the strangest thing: if I lock my work computer and try to connect from home I get that error message but if I leave my work computer unlocked I can connect no problem! Does anybody have ...

I need to figure out is when i go to my routers port settings, am i supposed to use the IP of my PC ...

I followed the link and basically the only solid info i gathered from it was: "If your ISP provide you a dynamic IP to you, you need to subscribe to a dynamicDNS service provider supported from your NAT broadband router and put your hostname freshly created and configure it to forward external port ...

After spending forever reading up on Hamachi it seems the only reason anybody using VNC would consider it is because you can use it to remotely access a computer, just like VNC does. However, the assumption is that you have administrative control on the remote computer. This is a problem for those ...

My current understanding is a repeater (server) is set up on 1 pc and then a viewer connects to it with an ID (same pc or a new one-doesnt matter) and then the client (2nd pc) connects to the repeater just like the viewer pc did (but using the single click process/program). Correct? So if i want to ...

Do you get any error messages? Or does it just drop straight back to the desktop, closing any "viewer" windows in the process (No error message/No connectivity). What about firewalls? Did you enable the viewer/server applications in your firewall as well as enable the ports in the firewall settings ...

It appears that several people are having this same issue, including myself! What i've seen so far leads me to believe you need to verify 2 things. 1) Make sure the server side pc does not have the screensaver enabled and set with password protection (you've already checked this) 2) If your internet ...

I'm still a bit new to this myself but... You say your internal IP address is 192.198 etc, i assume you did this on the client pc? Which pc did you use whatismyip.com on? The IP address you need to type into the viewer (on the client PC) needs to be the IP address of the Server PC. So when you say"I ...
