Hacking activity? Can I get a log of incoming connections?

I work in a K-12 district, and for management/Help Desk purposes, we have Ultra VNC deployed on every PC in the district. Yesterday one of our secretaries claimed the computer started "typing on its own" and sent us the document. We have a small department, and there is no one, to our knowledge ...

Thanks guest... yeh it does defeat the whole purpose, but I guess you can't fool proof everything, especially with high-schoolers. If they really don't pay attention to what is happening on their screen, they can just turn off the moniter  so I guess when it comes down to it, if they want to ...

MAC Remote Desktop connecting to an UltraVNC Server

MAC Remote Desktop claims it can connect and view an UltraVNC server, and it does... but it seems to have trouble displaying the mouse cursor during a view session.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I have two questions... hopefully someone can help me out. 1) In the new version of of ultravnc there is a toolbar while the viewer is in full screen mode. This toolbar pops down when you move your mouse all the way to the top of the screen, and enables the user to close the connection. Is there ...

I am going to try to test this out with some pc's here and if things work out, we may implement this idea throughout all the PC labs in our school district. Please let me know if you can figure out how to disable access to exiting the listener app. I'm sure the kids will quickly figure out that they ...

I am having the same problem. You disabled power management to the point that the moniter doesn't automatically turn itself to powersave mode?

Maybe your ISP is blocking access to your default port. Try using a different port?
