Re: UltraVNC Version 2 developper recruitment
The bigest problem from going from tcp to udp is going from reliable to unreliable connection. Using udp, you need to implement an extra layer (simular to tcp) that take care of packet lost, packet order etc... Most "reliable udp" implementation i tested are slow and generate a big cpu overhead ...

Re: Repeater is leaving ports open.
nat rule bad nework router firmware or is just happen to repeater ? NAT is disabled (net admin doesn't want servers and shit running, helps deter this), i doubt a 1 year old cisco router has gone bad, it just seems to be the repeater. we had it on an older machine before it was put on this server ...

Re: Repeater is leaving ports open.
That's not the case at all. We have a single Win2k3 server running the repeater as admin, ports are standard 5901 and 5500 (as per default settings in repeater). We have port forwarding to outside, 11000->5500, and 11001->5901, but since we're in the office, we use 5901, (if we were working from ...

Repeater is leaving ports open.
Repeater is leaving ports hanging open on CLOSE_WAIT. We're running it on a server (this is for our tech support business), but it's leaving ports hanging open (and we have craploads open already), so I fear it's causing the TCP/IP stack in the repeater to crash thus dropping all active connections ...

Re: UltraVNC Version 2 developper recruitment
You'd need somebody to come up with a reliable protocol standard, and I can help you out with that. Verification and reverification are key to intiating connections and verifying the client is the client we want, and that we're not getting weird packet injections. Also automatic packet drop on ...

Re: Can't adjust Zonealarm settings remotely
Scape, unfortunately, it's ZoneAlarm hooking into the hardware drivers for keyboard.sys and mouse.sys (or whatever they are for your system) and checking if the input that it's getting is actually from the physical inputs or not. This is a safety thing, so in case somebody remote connects to your ...

Re: Problem with Repeater 1.1.0.7 crashing
So far so good, still not sure, but the boss states that the server still is running when he checks on it, just that it's not getting any connections in from what it appears. So maybe it's a port locking issue? We'll see.

Re: Problem with Repeater 1.1.0.7 crashing
Naw, we have a dedicated server room that stays in the 70s at all times, so the machine isn't getting too warm, as for eating up lots of memory, has anyone seen the repeater have a memory leak perhaps? Or continue to hold onto the memory needed for a connection after it was disconnected, causing it ...

Problem with Repeater 1.1.0.7 crashing
Hey, let me just go ahead and explain how I got to this point. First thing's first, I work as tech support, and got sick of the software we had here to remote connect to customer's computers. So I came up with and started using the SingleClick in combination with Repeater Mode II to identify ...

Repeater|SC issue.
We recently set up a Repeater/SC setup for a remote technical support solution here at my work. I was the leader of this project and was able to make it work for so long. Then it suddenly stopped working and after looking into the settings, the only thing we changed was on the repeater. It said to ...

SC Server for client end with ID support
I'm sure somebody's already asked this, and prolly gotten an answer for it, but I can't find it, so here I am. I need to set up a single click SERVER, not the client end, the server end which runs on the client computer that's being fixed. I've tried using the online compiler for REL1.00 with the ...
