Thank you, that worked! My color depth was set to 24, so I changed it to 16. It's essentially a file server, so I don't know why it was set to 24 in the first place.

Ok, so now I can't reproduce the blue screen, but I guess that's a good thing, but winvnc crashes whenever I try to login from a client machine while the video hook is truly enabled (i.e. every active in the driver test and Attach.ToDesktop=1). BTW, the post above is for a Windows 2000 Pro system w/ 2GB ram. I did a complete uninstall before installing Rel 1.00, including removing the video hook driver.

Ok, for no particular reason it seems to be working now when I use my computer as the client. I used it for about 10 minutes with no restart. I'll test the server when I get to work.

There might be a video hook problem, but I don't think that's what's causing it. This was happening first with TightVNC and now with UltraVNC (uninstalled/installed separately) since before the video hook driver was released.
