Connecting to PCs, Gray Box connection Status

When connecting to a server client, the connection status box randomly goes pure gray and does nothing. Have to exit out and then reopen and it will go through.

Doesn't happen everytime. Using version 1.0.9.6.1

Re: 1.0.9.6.1 not installing on OS 2000 professional

Where do you get this bin.zip? We are not seeing multiple .exe files in the latest version, do you have to use an old.exe from a previous version?

Purge winvnc log file

Is there a way to purge (or plan to implement?) the winvnc.log file without turning completely off? It seems to just grow and grow, set to info or warning only.

I do not see any beneficial information inside the log file, what instance would this log file be needed in?

Re: Store password so your not prompted

Just want to post how to do this: Connect to a host that you want to store the password to (if using vncpassword, not mslogon): Right click the task bar at the top of the window where it gives you the host name, ip, etc Choose save connection info as Save the file as a .vnc file Right click the vnc ...

Re: Store password so your not prompted

Thank you for the information., I know about the MSLogon (wouldn't want to store it). IS there a way to save the vnc password, be it registry, or anyway so it does not have to be typed each time.

Also, does ultravnc support Radius for authentication?

Re: Store password so your not prompted

So setting the password in the server settings, no possible way for it to encrypt/save it in the settings period?

This is not using group/ad based authentication, just a password set on the server.

Store password so your not prompted

Is there a way to save the password with the latest version so you do not get prompted when connecting to a server?
