Single Click Viewer to VNC server (not SC)
Since you already have SC which allows a VNC server to single click to a listening viewer, how can I set up a Single Click Viewer which would connect to a server? I am looking for a method where I could send out a VNC viewer that a user only needs to click on in order to view my demo server.

Chat with port-forwarding
How do I successfully setup UltraVNC for Chat to work? I am successfully able to connect to various different VNC servers (based on IP protocols) behind NAT routers, with the IP protocols port-forwarded. However, whenever I start Chat, the text is not sent to the other chat window (on server.) Is ...

UlttraVNC and CA's Pest Patrol
Has anyone else encountered problems with CA's Pest Patrol (stand-alone or Integrated Threat Management system) and UltraVNC. Pest Patrol has a Pest Exclusion list which seems to only "exclude" files, not registry settings. Summary: 1) Install and configure UltraVNC (1.01 or 1.02) and Mirror Driver ...

The IP that is displayed IS the correct IP address for server. The school is using a Cisco router to control Internet access. Every PC/server that is on the school's network all use IP addresses based on a special range (ie: Private IPs.) The only public address is assigned to the Cisco router and ...

You only need to know the IP address of the VNC server you wish to connect to. Since you want to work off your office PC, you only need to know the static IP address your office connection. BTW: You could set up a Dynamic DNS service for your "home" connection (ex: www.dyndns.org -- myhomepc.dyndns ...

Depending on the network, you need to know if the default IP ports of 5500, 5800 and 5900 can get thorough the proxy. It has been previously posted that several regular Internet Service Providers (ISP) now are limiting Internet traffic on IP ports above a certain number (1024???) You may need to ask ...

I do not know about the 'Add New Client" feature but I can access my VNC servers by just specifing the server IP/name and password in the VNC viewer. It seems that when you add clients to the server, you are setting up the VNC server to connect to a remote listening viewer (Host) or VNC repeater (ID ...

You only need ONE dyndns entry, if BOTH computers are in back of the the same router. You need to set up ONE VNC server with IP port of 5900 and the second one with a different IP port (ex: 5901.) Port-forward 5900, 5800 and 5500 to the first VNC server. Then port-forward 5901, 5801 and 5501 to the ...

A further post to my preivous one! I went back to the Sonicwall TZ170 unit that I mentioned that I was not able to route the port-forward through the main IP address. I discovered more details. have you tried to also open up 5800? This is normally used for the Java VNC client access over HTTP. Also, have you contacted your Internet Service Provider so as to see if they have imposed limits to the higher end IP ports? Some ISPes now limit the IP ports above 1024 in hopes of limiting viruses ...

... RealVNC and UltraVNC are almost identical... I believe the only difference is that with UltraVNC you get the control of client's system without them having to install any software ... This is not true! You still need to have a "server" installed so that the "viewer" can connect to. VNC does not ...

I went into ZA Free "Program Control" and manually added "winvnc" and "vncviewer" to the list of programs. Then, I set the 'access" permissions to "Allow" and for "winvnc" I also allowed 'Server' style access. This is needed for both Internet and Local columns. (Note: I am not at my personal home PC ...
