Amazingly, I ended up doing almost the same today:

Re: UVNC 105 Unattended Installation
The technique I've ended up using is a batch file to move the files to a local location, and then another to conduct the installation: start.cmd @echo off :declare variabes set random03=%random% :copy all files to temp local location cd %userprofile% md "%temp%\%random03%\" copy "\\server\ClientApps ...

UVNC 105 Unattended Installation
I fond [post=52193]this post[/post] on unintended installations, and it references a config.ini file. How do I create such a file, and what's the command for the installation to use it? I can't find it in a search or in the documentation. I plan to set up a remote, server only, Vista add-on and ...

Re: Rolling out UltraVNC - pre configure VNC Password
I'm sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm trying to do something almost exactly the same. I would like to use Rudi De Vos' original suggestion. When he says: If you want to install the server only, no drivers you require ultravnc.ini winvnc.exe schook.dll cad.exe hookdll.dll zip32.dll unzip32.dll Am ...

UVNC Administrative Console?
I use UVNC for remote access of lots of computers, over the 'net, locally, over vpns.
At the moment I have a crude database (using KeePass) of addressed, repeaters, usernames, passwords and plugins.
Does there exist some administrative console that can keep track of all of this for me?

Repeater Error
I'm running the repeater service on a SBS2003 machine and, obviously, it's integral to the VNC working. Recently it's been crashing with this error: Type: Information Date: 08/11/2007 Time: 12:13:28 Event: 1004 Source: Application Error Category: User: N/A Computer: *COMPUTERNAME* Description ...

Deplying UVNC 1.0.4 via Group Policy
Hey All, 2 Qs in one here; it's got to the stage where I need Vista support, so am going to have to roll out UVNC 1.0.4. First up, how stable is it, and would people that have gone down this road before recommend / not recommend this course? Second, my network has grown quite a lot since the the 1.0 ...

UVNC Client for WM5?
This could be asking a lot, but is there a UVNC Client for Windows Mobile 5?
I'm finding the TS app very useful and UVNC on my palmtop would be beautiful.

I wasn't aware of the hover cursor trick, but I did that, it was connected to both adapters, and still got the same error as above from the repeater with no connection.

VNC through VPN
I have some remote locations connected to a SBSR2 (Windows 2003) server through a VPN. Because the remote locations don't have static IPs, or even the kit to reserve local IPs from the router, I need to connect to their installed UVNC servers through the VPN. I can connect to the servers locally ...

Making Custom Installer
Hey All, I use UVNC a lot for various things. For my larger clients (with static IPs) I install a repeater and Server on all the workstations. At the moment, I go through a manual install and setup, but I always do the same. Can I do an custom automated install routine to: - Install to default ...

Map remote drives?
Although it doesn't always work perfectly, in MS Term Services your local drives are mapped to the remote computer's My Computer. When you need to run a small utility or quickly move a file across, it's amazingly useful. Is there a possibility of having it as part of UVNC? Or am I asking for the ...

Winlogon logon and Wake On UVNC?
I would like to set up a situation whereby I can wake a machine up from sleep and login using UVNC. To do this, I have two questions: 1) Is it possible to log onto the UVNC service at winlogon prompt (i.e. welcome screen when the welcome screen is turned off)? Maybe by installing the service as a ...

I was monumentally stupid.
192.168.3.1 != 192.168.1.3
Thanks for all your help; I've saved the debug pdf for future reference and PortQry is now part of my tools.

Failed to connet to server !
Hi, I've been a user of UVNC (and SC and PCHW) for quite a while now and recently rolled out 1.0.2. I'm trying to connect from my laptop (Thinkpad R60) to two different sites - my home desktop and another site. I can connect to both when I'm on-site in the local network but not over the internet ...

Yeah, I found that earlier but it wasn't it; it was done with (I believe) JavaScript and ActiveX.

Hosted SC?
I'm sure a few weeks (months?) ago I saw a thread about how someone had managed make SC work whilst hosted - i.e. have it on a website and not have to download it, just click 'connect' on the site and bingo!
Did I dream it, because I can't find it anywhere!
Thanks.
