SC I/II/III ?? I am really, really, really confused.

I've been using SC for a long time - I built an .exe about 3 years ago and have been using it since - but, like many people have noticed, the older versions don't work well with Vista. Question: What is the best candidate for building a SC .exe for Win2k, XP, 2k3 Server, AND Vista clients, for use ...

Re: Linux VNC viewer, server & repeater development

How does this OneClick/TightVNC support multiple connections (like UVNC does with ID numbers)? Does it support repeaters, etc? I didn't know the TightVNC client for Linux supported anything like that.

Linux VNC viewer, server & repeater development

I guess this would be one of the best places to ask this question. I own a technical consulting/support company, and use SC, the Linux repeater (v014) and the Windows viewer under Wine (on Ubuntu Feisty) for supporting my clients. Issue #1: Usually, after about 10 minutes of a remote session, my ...

Linux/Gnome Remote Desktop UltraVNC Repeater/ID# support?

Everyone who reads this, please reply if you'd love to see: 1) Gnome's "System -> Preferences -> Remote Desktop" (vino?) application give support for UltraVNC's repeater / ID# functionality. Imagine being able to help a friend/family member/client running Ubuntu (or any other dist.) using your UVNC ...

Re: PcHelpWare and Linux Repeater

This would be the missing piece to my puzzle... Any chance of baiting developers with money to get a stable Linux repeater for PHW? =)

Re: sc and linux

Actually, I'm running VNC Viewer in Wine for over a year with little problems (sometimes if it crashes out, the remaining Wine processes aren't cleaned up). I also use the Linux repeater (which sometimes needs to be restarted). But other than that, it *would* be nice to have the ID field available ...

Re: Problem with REPEATER.EXE -- Double NAT?

I have problems using repeater.exe (latest version, 1.0.4) do connect this way, client is winvnc.exe from ultravnc 1.0.1, no DSM. *snip* So it looks like a classic Repeater Mode 1 scenario, minus the port numbers in your diagram. Try to verify the port you are connecting to is correctly forwarded ...

Does v011 of the Linux repeater support SCIII / SSL / MS Crypto? SC III / SSL: Is not yet implemented (I have tried to get it stable first ;-) Ok, thank you Jariko. =) If there's anything a non-programmer can do to help, let me know. MS Crypto: If this means dsm plugins / rc4.key, seems to work (I ...

Suggestion to organize all UVNC applications & versions

Hello, Long time fan of UltraVNC and it's derivatives!! Everyone here is awesome. I've been perusing the forums and I found that it is difficult for me to really differentiate the applications like UVNC server/viewer, repeater, repeater Linux version, SC, SC2, SCIII, etc.... Maybe we can create ...

Re: My Linux repeater wishlist... :)

I'm fairly sure (I haven't used it yet but have read the documentation a lot) that it's the exact same syntax for distributor - the repeater is what will differentiate mode1/mode2. So, " ID:1234 " would probably work. Jari, you are awesome. =) I hope you're having fun coding this! I know you're ...

My Linux repeater wishlist... :)

1) Timestamped STDERR entries (so I can do " ./repeater 2>> /var/log/repeater.log " and know when things happened) 2) Connection authentication (text file parsed for list of authorized ID: numbers to connect, if it's not listed it's disconnected? How hard would it be to write a DSM for a regular ...

vnc2swf, vncrec...

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Windows version of vnc2swf? I know vncrec is way out of date, but the vnc2swf site ( http://www.unixuser.org/~euske/vnc2swf/ ) has a broken link to the Win32 version... :(

This looks completely awesome!!!

Can I ask, however - how will the two sides connect? Will they use a repeater, or is there port configurations needed on the viewer side?

Any details on how it works underneath would be great. =)

??

I'm not sure what you mean by the repeater not providing this functionality - that's exactly what it does (Mode 2). Both viewer and server create an OUTGOING connection to the publically accessable repeater, which joins the two ends together. SERVER -> NAT -> INTERNET/REPEATER <- NAT <- VIEWER No ...
