Afternoon,
Just a quickie, if I use UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.2 without the mirror driver, I can successfully blank a remote screen, however if I use the mirror driver it shows me the green eyeball box thing on my viewer - I'm assuming this is a known problem/cannot be helped but just in case I'm missing ...

Hi Rudi,
When I tested dropping the uVNC msi package on a few machines, it creates desktop icons for all users and icons in the start menu - it's these icons that I'm referring to.
The System tray icon looks fine, but the rest appear like some kind of text file or something?

Only a minor one, but I was wondering would it be possible to have some kind of balloon pop out of the system tray icon when somebody connects to a PC showing who (user and/or PC name) has connected?

Did you install using the .msi file out of curiousity? i've been testing the .msi file within our organisation, but unfortunately I can't get it working like I want it to, one of the downsides being the icons look bland rather than the colourful eyeball boxes we're used to.

Just responding to your off-topic issue regarding Aero dropping off your remote sessions. The mirror driver itself causes this, when mirror drivers are loaded in Windows Vista/7, they disable the Desktop Window Management service (DWM.exe) - this disables the Aero theme. For more info ...
