Re: Raspberry Pi 5 RealVNC connects but not UltraVNC?
Thanks to Vladimir Vissoultchev extra AUthentication methods have been implemented in the viewer. binary test builds. Is it possible that this addition also solves the problem with new Intel ME/CSME Firmware now only supporting RFB3.8 over TLS which prevent UVNC to work any longer? I have posted a ...

Re: Support for Intel vPro KVM
Some additional notes: New Intel firmware only disables non-TLS port 5900 for VNC. TLS connections over port 16993 and 16995 still work. What the smart guy writing the shim layer did to make it still work is the following: If you want, you can create a VNC shim layer to allow VNC client like Tiger ...

Support for Intel vPro KVM
Hello. Till last year it was possible to use UltraVNC successfully with the Intel vPro KVM feature (RFB password via Port 5900). It seems that Intel has disabled support for this access method for security reasons and so we can no longer use UltraVNC for that. https://software.intel.com/sites ...

Re: options.vnc problem
The button delete the file. Indeed that's what I expected, however as stated nothing happens at all. If I enter "testserver" into "server:port" edit control and press the "Save" button a file "testserver-5900.vnc" is created. However if I press "Delete" afterwards this file in not beeing delete ...

Re: options.vnc problem
Hi Rudi.
THX for explanation.
I wasn't aware of the fact, that settings are maintained "per server".
But what is the "Delete" button for?
From the logic I then would expect the server specific settings file being deleted. But here nothing happens at all.

Re: Viewer Cannot connect to repeater version 1.3.2
I had the same problem. Check the following: Check if you specify the correct port where repeater is listening for viewer connections (5900 or 5901) Be sure to enter the ID prefixed by the literal "ID:" in the viewer. If you only enter the ID without that prefix it does not work. For the server ...

options.vnc problem
Just downloaded version 1.3.2 from the website and wonder how options for the viewer are handled in the new version. If I start the viewer as non admin user, change some settings and click the "Save" button, the settings are stored within a file called "-5900.vnc" in the users "%APPDATA%\UltraVNC ...

Re: 1.1.9.6 (Please use this versions before reporting a bug
You also have to take video card driver into account. I had two machines here where Windows was complaining about perfomance always after a short period after connecting via UltraVNC and wants to switch to Basic mode. Updating the video card driver on both machines (Catalyst 13.4) solved the problem ...

Re: 1.1.9.6 (Please use this versions before reporting a bug
This absolutely makes sense.1.1.9.5 was already to long on the net before this nasty bug was fixed.
Reuploading 1195 doesn't provide the correct test results as i never know if people are using
the old or new version.

Re: Problem with UltraVNC Crashing IE at Client End
http://www.uvnc.eu/1194/servertests/winvnc_738_notxtaccel.zip version 1.1.1 updated to 1.1.2 but with some part of the polling engine that was added. can you do fast check to see if it has the issue or not. Both versions work and do not show the issues with IE, however "winvnc_738_notxtaccel" has ...

We did not even use the installer.
Just took the binaries from the xp to w7 zip-file.
x86 and x64 versions are both affected by the problem.

Re: Problem with UltraVNC Crashing IE at Client End
I think you are not alone. We are also still using an older version (1.1.0 beta) of UltraVNC for all our customers as alle the newer versions introduce all kind of ugly problems with IE8. I already posted our problem here https://forum.ultravnc.net/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=30047 . Using 1.1.0 beta or 1 ...

Problem with Internet Explorer on Windows 7
Hi. We have the following problem with 1.1.8 stable on Windows 7 (x86). When trying to open an additional tab on IE8 it only flashes shortly but no new tab is displayed. This only happens when connected via UVNC and not when connected via RDP. When replaing winvnc.exe with version of 1.1.0 beta ...

setcad.exe
Hi.
What is the point of the setcad.exe?
I looked at the source code and found that the body of _tmain is empty so the function Enable_softwareCAD() which is defined in setcad.cpp is not beeing called at all.
Or did I miss anything obvious?
Cheers
