One more vote for SC support for Vista.

We use both SC and PcHelpware and have found that SC is much lighter to use at HelpDesk end.

These are the main reasons why we like to use SC:

REASON 1: IF HelpDesk end is not running, SC is just one click away:

You can use vncviewer 1.0.1 with SC23 there no problem

I also had this same problem with SC today as picture above shows.

This problem has appeared only on one computer (Windows ME). All other connections works fine (well, to be honest, i still havent got rid off those black rectangles, but this is not the issue in here).

I can copy&paste to remote ...

I would like to use ultravncSC to do remote support. But I am often away from home using a laptop connect to the Internet true a wireless router which I do not control.

If you dare, you can also set up a repeater II (v1.02) to a computer, that is on public internet (yor office ip, DMZ, ports 5500 ...

I have unpacked sc files and made a small program (lets call it launcher) that creates custom helpdesk.txt file and then launches winvnc.exe.

Then i packed it with winzip & winzip self-extractor to make self-extracting package that unpacks SC files C:\SUPPORT directory and launcher and runs ...

A problem I've encountered in unattended assistance is that timeout to begin the connection is limited to 5 minutes. I need the pc with SC server waiting in listening mode for connection (via repeater mode II) without such a low timeout

suppose i place UltraVNC SC package that uses DMS encryption and has rc4.key packed in it on a freely available to my customers (and rest of the world) to download from website, doesn't this ruin encryption as encryption key is freely available ?
