Re: SC and VISTA <-- Making it work!

One more vote for SC support for Vista. We use both SC and PcHelpware and have found that SC is much lighter to use at HelpDesk end. These are the main reasons why we like to use SC: REASON 1: IF HelpDesk end is not running, SC is just one click away: To initiate a connection with SC: 1. Helpdesk ...

Re: Using a public 802.11 access point with SC

I would like to use ultravncSC to do remote support. But I am often away from home using a laptop connect to the Internet true a wireless router which I do not control. If you dare, you can also set up a repeater II (v1.02) to a computer, that is on public internet (yor office ip, DMZ, ports 5500 ...

When configuring router/firewall i found log very usefull, as it most of the time gives some information, where connection is blocked. Unfortunately I don't know if Netgear DG834GT has logging capability.

Does ng has firewall, if so, have you made a rule in there?

good luck!

I have unpacked sc files and made a small program (lets call it launcher) that creates custom helpdesk.txt file and then launches winvnc.exe. Re: SC with higher timeout
