Hi,

Try pressing Alt Enter when you hve connected. This will make your Dos program run in Window mode.

When your cousin enters your IP address in Host Name and clicks OK, you should see her desktop. I use this option for all of my customers who need help from me.

IP 169.254.2.### is assigned by Windows internal DHCP server.

IP 172.190.133.### is the dial up IP address. There may be something stoping the connect, e.g. a firewall.

Click on Start -> Run and type CMD and press enter. At the command prompt, type ipconfig /all. This should list all IP addresses of the workstation. I think you should see something for PPP adapter. Failing that, ask your cousin to conntect to you by running the VNC Server, right click the VNC icon ...

Is your cousin using Windows XP? There is a firewall option in Windows XP that needs to be reconfigured to allow VNC connections.
