Re: SCIII Documentation for idiots
as far as i know SC3 (i already wrote another thread about it 'preconditions...') you always have to use port 443... which is a pain sometimes, especially on windows servers which often run the iis-server. but this port is the only port which makes sense to use - it is one of the only ports which ...

Re: Stupid question
there is a working link again - look into my post...
and an additional encryption is overhead... if you use SC3 there is already ssl encryption, which should do the job...

Re: Stupid question
nothing would prevent it... but at first it is very unlikely that a customer (server) connects to the repeater while someone bad connects to it (with ssl client) and second: the one i am talking about has even has to use the same ID.

Re: list of preconditions on customer side!?
oh ok, you meant the neater mice graphic with the 3d style... *smile*
well, but which part should have the default mouse icons? the customer (server part) or the technician (viewer part)? or even both?
and which problems occur if the problematic part uses non-default icons?

Re: Certificate.pem
@bevtech: that's not right! i already created my own certificate.pem and i am pretty sure i found the solution somewhere here in the forum. since this certification file inherits the private key, it is very unsecure imho to use the given/downloadable one in a professional environment. if someone is ...

even i am not interested in the case you are describing, i want to point out that SCIII already uses encryption (128bit SSL). that's why you don't need any encryption plugin... just my two cents... oh, and a full qualified entry in the server config file (helpdesk.txt) would be: "-id <for example ...

list of preconditions on customer side!?
introduction : i am working for an IT company, and we are searching for an easy maintainable and reliable remote administration solution... something that's transparent and doesn't conflict with our customers IT security policy. our choice fell on the sc derivat 'sc+ssl+repeater' (also known as ...

maybe i didn't really specify my request: i meant the sources for SCIII+SSL and it's related files (server, client and repeater). whoms binaries can be found under the given url (see first post)... but since i wrote that, i found a possible answer [post=13648]here[/post]. but i think the thread is a ...

LZO LIBRARY!?
it was already mentioned, but i couldn't find an answer for specific question in here or in the documentation... why does n't ultravnc use the LZO compression library? i already made my own tests (for another project) and can approve what other tests on the net say: it's fast as hell! IMO, the ...
