UltraVNC

It seems to be related.

v 1.1.9.0 seems to have fixed this problem, but I've only done very limited testing. The older versions would have been a problem by now, though.

The same problem happens in 1.1.0

The same problem happens in 1.0.9.6.2 released yesterday.

Today (I shut down this laptop every day), I can't get 1.0.9.6.1 it to connect no matter which options I try. This is really strange.

I added it to my shortcut and set it to 67. Hopefully if anyone else sees this issue they can try that, too and it may fix it for them.

The problem came back this morning. So I tried "vncviewer -keepalive 1" and now it is working again. I don't need to specify -keepalive 1 except on the initial connection. After that it works fine. The Bytes Sent goes up every so often. The Bytes Received doesn't really change.



I use vncviewer to non UltraVNC servers 90%+ more than I connect to Windows Servers, although they act the same way with regard to this issue.

I downloaded the zip for the 32 bit 1.0.9.6.1 and ran the vncviewer from that with the same results.

I tried vncviewer 1.0.9.6.2 ( http://www.uvnc.eu/download/10962/ ) and it gives me a blue screen instead of a gray one, but otherwise has the same problem. 1.0.9.6 works fine except it ignores the selectedscreen in options.vnc (a completely different issue).

1.0.9.6.2 does the same thing except I get a blue instead of a gray screen. 1.0.9.6 works (except 1.0.9.6 ignoresselectedscreen in options.vnc)
