Re: Win 7 and UAC

http://www.uvnc.com/pchelpware/sc/creator.html there are three creators on this page... if you use the bottom creator it supports uac: "Update 27/08/2009, the user is only asked once to give UAC permission ( add [DIS_AUC] ) helpdesk.txt [DIS_UAC]" i'm not sure what to make of that comment, and i don ...

this thread stopped (abruptly) almost exactly 3 months ago.

the 1.00 and 1.01 releasesboth include downloads that contain the inno setup scripts and all of the files you want to include in your distribution.

let me know if this helps!

; winvnc.exe needs to be first here because it triggers stopping WinVNC service/app.
Source: src\winvnc.exe; DestDir: {app}; Components: server; BeforeInstall: StopVNC; Flags: restartreplace

but for some reason it is clearly not stopping winvnc :/

UltraVNC 1.0.1

just curious about a few things... in the binaries zip, what happened to the iss file? use the old one? and when i run the "silent" driver installer, it is not silent at all. is is the same version driver as 1.0? does it matter if i use the same driver that shipped with 1.0? please advise.

215.35 mb = 0 bytes <- DISREGARD!!!

a friend of mine is running ultravnc 1.0.0 final on two windows xp pro computers. everything works perfectly except file transfers. when he transfers a file 163.50 mb it seems to work fine, on the remote computer it shows up as 163.50 mb. but when he transfers a file 215.35 mb (or higher presumably ...

i would rather see the password field filled with the letter "l" (the lowercase letter "L") - but also using the wingdings font. this would result in a black dot for each character - just like the password fields in windows xp.

sweet, i've been waiting for this. i haven't had much time to test it thoroughly, but it seemed to work fine for me on the two basic tests that i ran.

i also wanted to mention that the about screen shows "sc 20.3" instead of "sc rel 1.0.0".

it almost seems a little chaotic to rush a release candidate out through the forums - right before the final 1.0.0 public release. i mean, i would love to see 1.0 by june 20th just like everyone else... but will that allow enough time for testing? i didn't even see this post until today, so i only ...

i am noticing that ultr@vnc setup is halting at the extracting files process on all of my windows 98 boxes. is this a problem with inno setup?

i also updated my original post, including silent installer/source (again).

this has probably been covered a million times, i'm just not finding the information anywhere, so i thought i'd ask. i am writing a delphi gui for distributing ultr@vnc and i need to add a password field to my gui that can be used to set the normal winvnc password. i have a mixture of operating ...

i am after the same thing really, i would like complete control in through the iss/inf settings. but there's no way to select a plugin or do various other tasks. like, you can setup ms logon - but only so far. you can turn it on or off, and you can set the groups for ms logon inside winvnc - but ...
