Does the current version of single click work with UVNC 1.0.
I rebuilt SC after upgrading from 102 to 1053 but I cannot connect. Is the current version of SC supposed to work with 1.0.5.3? Thanks.

Re: No VNC server detected - but it is running!
The version of WinVNC.exe is 1.1.0.2. I believe that is the latest stable release.
I should mention that I updated UltraVNC from an earlier version using remote desktop. I don't think this is the source of the problem since I have done this on other PCs without encountering this problem.

No existing instance of WinVNC could be contacted
On one XP Pro SP2 machine I get the "No existing instance of WinVNC could be contacted" error dialog when I click View Default Settings from the menu. The WinVNC service is definitely running. On this same machine the service helper will not start either automatically or manually via the menu. When ...

Re: No VNC server detected - but it is running!
Thanks for your reply. The registry entry does exist. Even if the registry key does not exist I should be able to view the default settings or start the service helper via the Start | All Programs | UltraVNC menu but I cannot. When I try to view the default settings I still get the "No existing ...

Vista problems & questions
I just tried using the latest released version (1.0.2) to connect to a machine running Vista Business. Aero is disabled. Every time a UAC dialog asking permission to do something is displayed the connection is broken. Will this be fixed in a future version or is the only way to use UVNC with Vista ...

Slow response from Vista computer. Why?
I just connected to my first Vista computer using UVNC. When I click the start button the menu displays instantly on the remote PC but takes five seconds or more to appear on my screen. When I connect to a Win2k or XP machine the performance is excellent. What must I do to to get adequate ...

Can I use a domain name instead of an IP address when I configure Single Click? I do not have a static IP address.
Will single click work from behind a NAT router? I assume the answer is no.
Thanks.

Cannot connect - no error
I just installed version 1.01 at the site where I have not been able to connect since upgrading from RC18. I still cannot connect. Sorry about the confusion. I disabled the AV software when testing to make sure it was not part of the problem. Sorry but I do not understand how your first link relates to the problem. It discusses running the server from a batch file. Running the server from a batch file will not work, at least in my case, because the batch file will not execute until the user logs on. I must have the server running as a ...

No existing instance of WinVNC could be contacted
I have installed 1.0 on four XP Pro SP2 systems. Two had no problem. On the second two, the WinVNC service is running but there is no icon in the tray. When I selected Show Default Settings from the Programs menu I get the error message in the subject on both machines. There is no anti-virus ...
