I have found VNCHelper to do that sort of thing.. it is very easy to use and portable too.

Re: Can't see popup balloons

I forgot to mention that all of the tool tips do seem to work fine if I connect to a user that is on Windows 7 x64, just XP is an issue. Would this be dependent on the video card at all, though I am not using the mirror driver.

Can't see popup balloons

I just installed 1.0.9.1 viewer on my Windows 7 x64 and am passing through to XP x32 and I am noticing that I can't hover over any quick Launch items and see the balloon that normally appears above. Also when in Office 2007 I can't see the menu when the Orb is clicked in the upper left corner? I ...

Re: Server Closed Connection at logon screen

I also noticed that when I connect to Windows Server 2003 running v1.02 still that with the 1.082 viewer I would get the same stop message but could connect again and sometimes I could make it in OK.. but if I use the 1.056 viewer it worked perfectly every time. I will give it a try.. but how do I ...

Re: Server Closed Connection at logon screen

what the vncviewer quick option used ? what the type of connection of both side ? LAN or WLAN or both inhouse test or via internet ? I have only tried the Auto option. The connection has been tested from Home LAN to Work LAN (internet) and internally at work from the same switch. I stopped locking ...

Re: Server Closed Connection at logon screen

I swapped plugins and I still am getting disconnected. I am on Vista with 1.0.8.2 and connect to XP with 1.0.8.2 and as soon as I see the login screen it goes grey and I get the message that VNCViewer has stopped working. All I can do is close. Is there any kind of debug or log file I can look at to ...

Server Closed Connection at logon screen

I am getting that Server Closed Connection instantly upon connecting now. I am connecting from one machine to three others, one running 1.0.8.2, one with 1.0.5.6 and one 1.0.2. If I connect using the 1.0.8.2 viewer I get the that server disconnected immediately on all versions. But it allows me to ...

Re: VNC Control - Manager with slightly different approach.

Nice program. I did find that if I start say "Server1" then while its open I go back and try to connect to "Server2" I notice that it says in the connecting box "Server1" still? Possible variable that isn't getting reset maybe? Awesome work.. I almost started to create a similar program because I ...

Re: longer password

Yeah.. there are programs out there that grab the VNC remote password out of the registry no problem. I think a longer password with some sort of encryption would be perfect.

VNC MRU

I was trying to find a simple way of keeping all the windows servers in a list, I tried some of those VNC managers but found them to be either too complicated or not supporting some of features of Ultr@. I did figure out that I could create a REG file that would populate the MRU list. The only thing ...
