SC and software firewalls

Until now I didn't knew any special issue with SC and software firewalls - until today... I was having more or less occasional lockups, hangs and disconnections with one of my "clients".... At first I thought it was about his wireless internet connection and everything, until.... I just somehow ...

Just my 2 cents !
My thoughts exactly - got it work this way with 1.1.4 & 1.1.5

My final compilation includes 1.1.4 version of _noreg plugin, which was renamed to 'MSRC4Plugin.dsm'.

That's the way I got it to work.

But about File transfer: it cannot even handle a single file - crashing is instantaneous - with or without the plugin...

try 443 :D

it's not as obvious as 21 or 80

P.S. I use 443 to connect to AOL server, when using AIM at work.

All executables with plugin were made by myself. I don't know, what online script does at the moment... But you can find it out simply - generate the executable online and then extract it with 7-zip and find out yourself :) Just too tired at the moment for this - four long nights at remote ...

Now it finally seems to be resolved - it was the wrong plugin in generating script. This caused the wrong plugin to be included in executable. Tested with computer with no traces of VNC on it.

Is 1.1.5 backwards compatible?

SC to work with DSM Plugin

I already stated here, that I got SC working with plugin v1.1.4... Now I just forced to eat my own words... The thing is that other machine, where SC executable was launched, had VNC installed at one time and obviously had some traces of it in system. Now I tried to get the same executable to work ...

It seems like I found, what was the problem - I changed C:\UVNCSC\BIN\7z.exe e %1.zip... to C:\UVNCSC\BIN\7z.exe e *.zip... in create_exe.cmd and now log says everything is OK... Edit: yep, with this little correction executable generated right and when I extracted this executable for verification ...

Almost sounds as though the zip was not extracted to the work directory and so it used the default files instead. Verify the following steps were completed. As long as the UVNCSC directory is sitting off the root of c: (c:\uvncsc) and all the subdirectories (bin, custom, inc, work) are directly ...

112 and 114 - neither one isn't working (if keys are different then this thing is not supposed to work - this "Unknown authentication scheme" message confuses me even more)

In normal VNC use both are working fine.

Including your own rc4.key with SC executable

As I found out before, the connection did not succeeded with plugin. I generated my executables with online generator script and even tried to make my own script generator following advice [topic=1902]here[/topic]. Executable made this way didn't work either. Now I just took the executable generated ...

Got the script and needed binaries. However I ran into one problem with it - when I did my own zip with my own connection parameters and own rc4 key and then generated exe-file from it, then I got exe-file with "default" parameters as result - just the one like generated from unmodified 'custom.zip ...

Unknown authentication scheme!

SC is really almost perfect tool for remote support, but when it comes to get it work with MSRC plugin, then I always get the same problem: I get "Unknown authentication scheme!" - message on viewer side and nothing helps. I thought that something maybe wrong vith my included key when using your ...
