Re: Weird icon overlay on Windows when connected from two clients
Further update: if I turn Collaboration on in winvnc.ini (Collabo=1 instead of 0), I can see how this feature is meant to work. I can see it could be useful. The blue hands move around etc. But I have Collaboration turned off (Collabo=0) and do not need this feature - so I think if Collabo=0 the ...

Re: Weird icon overlay on Windows when connected from two clients
Update: I've just found this post: https://forum.uvnc.com/viewtopic.php?p=109560#p109560 which appears to show a whole load of these hands, but I don't really understand what I can do to disable this Collaboration mode, which I do not want or need. I simply want this hand icon to go away and never ...

[Update: Collaboration Mode bug, I think?] Weird icon overlay on Windows when connected from two clients
I have a Windows 10 media PC with UltraVNC server running on it, and use VNC as the main way I control it, so it's frequently left connected from both my laptop and my phone. Since a recent update - I have 1.3.6 now but I think this started with the previous update - I keep seeing the strange blue ...

Re: Viewer opens on wrong monitor
Thanks anyway (I think the dropdown is just an interface to the selectedscreen value in the options file, so had the same problem) but I have unexpectedly resolved this odd problem now. I first completely disabled my second display in Control Panel, then launched UltraVNC Viewer, which of course ...

Viewer opens on wrong monitor
I had this same problem years ago , but since a recent change of resolution of some of the involved screens, it's back! When I launch UltraVNC Viewer, on my Windows 8 PC, it always opens on my secondary monitor, which is positioned to the left of my primary one, but is usually switched off, so it's ...

Re: Viewer opens on wrong monitor
For anyone following this thread, I've now documented a pretty good workaround in the other thread:

Re: Viewer with multiple monitors : cannot select my fav one
OK, I have found a 90% good workaround. I tracked down where it was saving the options when I ticked the save settings box. It's here: C:\Users\[my username]\AppData\Roaming\UltraVNC\options.vnc If you open this in Notepad you can see it *does* save the screen choice, near the bottom of the file ...

Re: Viewer opens on wrong monitor
I somehow managed to overlook this similar thread: [topic=27942][/topic] Genuinely don't know how! Apologies. That said I suppose I am asking a very slightly different thing here, about command-line launching of VNCviewer.exe, so my query could perhaps be resolved if a command-line switch was ...

Re: Viewer with multiple monitors : cannot select my fav one
I have yet to try, but will give it a shot later. in the meantime, just to be clear: Have you selected the prefered monitor, then checked "save settings as default" before connecting? I have this same problem with VNC Viewer opening on the wrong monitor, and can confirm that yes, I have tried that ...

Viewer opens on wrong monitor
I have just upgraded both my computers to 1.0.9.6 from 1.0.8.0, on Windows 7 64-bit (for the computer I'm running the viewer on in this scenario) and Windows 7 32-bit (for the computer I'm viewing remotely). I am suffering from an issue related to my dual monitor setup, which I had never experienced ...
