You said you can't "do anything" when this happens. Does that mean you can't use the KEYBOARD either? Can you type anything? What if you generate the Windows key, or Ctrl-Esc, or Ctrl-Alt-Del via UltraVNC? How about Alt-Spacebar for getting a window's menu? If the answer to that is no, then it's a ...
