Send ctrl+alt+del to host
Hello...
I see the FAQ on sending ctrl+alt+del to host at
[topic=61][/topic]
But I'm curious...what is it about running the server as a sevice that allows the ctrl+alt+del to be accepted by the host?
Just curious. Any suggestions?
Thx,
D.

OK...I just realized there's a newer version. Uninstalled the server, installed the new version selecting 'clear old registry setting', and everything seems fine. I think it was the registry settings causing the trouble. I remember needing to muck with them about a year ago. Very nice new option in ...

password changing unexpectedly
Hello... With 10.0.0 RC18 Server on a Win2k machine, if I open the Current User Properties and click OK without making any changes to the window, the password is changing and I don't know what it's changing to, but I know it's not changing to the default password. I don't get this behavior when ...

Same VNC password&ports for every Windows user
Hello... Having trouble with one computer where users changed their WinVNC Current User Properties. I need every Windows user on that machine to have the same settings. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling which had no effect. Would rather not log on as every user to change their vnc user settings ...

Re: SSH, VNC, Windows & Mac
If you are trying to avoid port forwarding this means you already have SSH forwarded on your internal network with the windows serveR?? no matter what you do if you want someone from the outside in you either have to initiate the connection out to the remote computer ( as in the server connects to ...

SSH, VNC, Windows & Mac
Hello... I'd like to have a Mac VNC client remote a Windows VNC server. The Windows VNC server is behind a NAT firewall. I'd like to use SSH to handle the forwarding. I need to know which SSH would be best for me to use on the Windows side and for the Mac side. I'm a novice to SSH (ok, a newbie ...

Hello...
Am I correct that SSH eliminates the need for port forwarding? or am I way off base on this one?
Thx,
D.

Alternatives to VNC
Hello... Don't get me wrong, I've depolyed UltraVNC to dozens of clients, but one employee (re: the Boss) has 'an issue' with VNC. He's grown accustomed to WinXP's Remote Desktop speeds, and he's now switched to a Mac, but still needs to remote into a few Win32 machines that are behind a NAT ...

OSX viewer to Windows server
Hello...
I'm sorry to have to display my ignorance like this, but I need to know if it's possible for an OSX VNC viewer to connect to a Win2k/XP VNC server.
Would both ends be UltraVNC or would the OSX viewer be something else.
Apologies if this is a dumb question.
Thx,
D.

MS Logon - administrator user access?
Hello...
Am I correct that if the VNC server requires MS Logon, that only users with admistrator level access can be used in the VNC logon prompt?
If so, why?
TIA,
D.

I could allow the chat to be active at the same that screen updates. No danger. That drawback is that you'll see BOTH Chat windows in the viewer: [...CUT...] Maybe I'm going to add an option for this... For what it's worth, I'll place my vote for an active chat option. Well, at least my boss would ...
