Quick port question?!?!?

got a quick question in regards to port forwarding.

The instructions state:
The following ports will need to be forwarded to the IP address of the computer running the repeater:

* 5901
* 5500

Is 5901 public and 5500 private?
Is this two separate entries?

Here is a screen shot of my port ...

Re: Single-click use from a public hotspot

If I'm understanding you correctly I don't believe so.

Our clients (customers) use a remote tool with predefined ip addresses and port numbers to connect to us remotely. This is set within our router in the office. At a public hot spot we would be assigned an ip when connecting which would not be ...

So, the vnc ...

Re: Single-click use from a public hotspot

I considered this. Sort of like a connection within a connection which would appear as if I never left the office.

For me to have full/unlimited access to my work computer and be able to connect freely I would need to have ultravnc server install on each end? (my laptop and work destop?)

Single-click use from a public hotspot

Currently we are using SC to remotely connect to our users. We have a static ip in the office with several computers on the network. To determine which specific computer on our network in needing to receive the remote connection we designated certain ports for each station. (173.132.245.23:5500)
