Im such an idiot. I had the same password set in the admin properties for VNC Password, as well as VNC View Only Password. -Rookie mistake, and I appologize for wasting people's time!! LOL

just tried the ini copy. Still no luck. The thing that gets me mad is that a while back i had it working with 1.0.8.2. I'm gonna try a rollback to 1.0.8.0

edit: that didnt work either. Debating if i should even bother trying 1.0.6.5

B, when u say reverse DNS lookup, how do i go about doing that?

all of a sudden the script im using isnt installing the service when windows start - i want it always running, immediately when the install happens. What do i need to do?

thats just to authenticate to the server. We have that enabled, where the user needs to enter their AD user/pass. I want the actual window that asks the person being connected to, to display the machine name or username

2 things. 1)Where do I add it as a feature request? and 2)Is there maybe a way i can have the message box display the machine name by going through LDAP ??

just launch a batch file. It was an option that i selected in the kbox script editor. in the text box i just typed in "sc stop uvnc_service sc delete uvnc_service" the end!

I can manually delete the service, then i dont get the message during the install. I open cmd.exe and type in "sc delete uvnc_service" Then i push VNC out through my kbox, and it works. I just cant figure out the right way to enter in the script to execute that cmd line. Here's how I have it now ...

what would i type to incorporate "sc stop uvnc_service
sc delete uvnc_service" as this cmd worked when i typed it in manually b4 i ran the install

so i edited the install. here's what the line looks like now

Launch “C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\winvnc.exe” with params “-remove”.

i didnt have to access cmd.exe ? cuz when i try to run the script, it doesnt work. it hangs and doesnt complete.

what would the param line read? sorry im stupid...

so when you got this to work, did u add the install.inf file to the dependencies? cuz i have an ultravnc.inf but in that file it has the loadinf/ install.inf. so do i need to create the install.inf file and include that? howd u do it so it worked passing the servince part?

dammit. I can't figure this out. I do know in the UltraVNC folder there is a file called check_install.exe, and when i run it, it checks the service then gives me that "uvnc_service already installed, Remove ?" message. Is there maybe a way to edit the original 1.0.8.2 setup file so it doesnt ...

let's assume C:\Program Files\UltraVNC is the default dir. What would the batch file look like then? I am a newbie to this so the more explanation of this the better. I'm assuming Id have to write this in notepad and save it as a *.bat file as well....

how do i do that? and i guess where do i do that - in the ini file? what would the line have to read exactly?

when pushing this script out through my KBOX, i keep getting this message. The user then needs to select yes or no in order for the installtion to continue. How do i bypass or get rid of this message and just do the silent install? Please help.
