Because your running an application as a service. Just try it, it's not like its going to create any issues all it does is allow the service to run in a data area in memory.

If I compile using my external IP then alter the chunkviewer.ini file in the viewer/bin folder to my local lan ip of the repeater will that work or can you forsee a problem? This also means I have one less port open which I like.
