yeah, if the "server" (remote) machine has "enable blank monitor at view request" box checked (as it does by default) when you click the button on the viewer that looks like a mouse it will disable input to the remote machine and blank the monitor.

I searched through most of the documentation and I couldn't find anything on the .vnc files other than if you click on one it will automatically connect you (if you have registered the viewer as the default program for that extension). How do you create VNC files?

there are some problems with remote desktop...it installs fine, but if the computer is locked (at least due to a remote desktop session) there won't be a display through VNC until someone logs into the computer. also if you connect to VNC while using remote desktop, the screen will be black until ...
