Installation question for 1.1.8.0...
Hi guys, Just a question about the installer for 1.1.8.0 - I've currently got 1.0.9.6.2 installed, and when I run the installer to install 1.1.8.0, I notice there is a checkbox for "Upgrade 1.0.8/1.0.9" as well as checkboxes for "install viewer, install server" etc. All I want to do us update my ...

Re: Monitor Blanking for other clients...?
Ah, I understand! The password thing was just an example, I was just curious about the function. Thanks anyway!

Monitor Blanking for other clients...?
Forgive me if this has already been suggested! I was thinking earlier yesterday evening; when a client enables Monitor Blanking, the screen on the host goes blank / displays a picture, however the screen for other CLIENTS is still 100% visible. Would it be possible for monitor blanking by one client ...

Portable version?
Hey all, I've got the last version of UltraVNC 1.0.9.5 on my flash drive as a "portable" application (as in I double click it and it runs off my flash drive on any computer...not sure if it leaves any info behind)....cannot remember for the life of me where I got it from, so I am asking here in case ...

Re: Router setup for multiple computers...
*bump!* Hey folks, it's been awhile but I think I have made some progress....ish. I've stopped worrying about getting port 5800 to work as I have Portable UltraVNC on my flash drive anyway. On my router (Linksys WRT54G v3 running DD-WRT) I have the IPs of the 4 computers here in the house listed ...

Re: Router setup for multiple computers...
I do have Port 5900 open already, and Port 5800, that's what I'm saying and is why I am confused :( To quote my first post: I have the router set to forward port 5901 to port 5900 at 192.168.40.40 and also set to forward port 5902 to port 5900 at 192.168.40.41 so I can connect to both computers ...

Re: Router setup for multiple computers...
So you're saying I should redirect the 5800 series ports to port 5900 as well?

Re: Router setup for multiple computers...
Server and client are both running 1.0.9.5.
I noticed it's saying could not connect to port 5900, but Java uses 5800? What's up with that?

Re: Router setup for multiple computers...
Well, I have managed to get it to work so I can connect with VNC viewing programs, however, I am getting an error on trying to connect with Java: "Network error could not connect to server: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5900" Let's say one of my comps behind the router is IP 192.168.40.40 and another is 192.168 ...

Router setup for multiple computers...
Hey folks! I have an odd request for some help. I'm not really a n00b to UltraVNC, but I am not completely sure I understand the concept I am trying to sort out. I will put it this way. We have 5 computers here at home, 3 wired desktops and 2 wireless netbooks behind a Linksys WRT54G router. I would ...

Re: Blank screen after RDP sessions
Odd, I'm not sure then. When I got it, I just dloaded the 64-bit setup file, installed it, configured it, set it to run as a system service, and poof, that's all I needed to do. I connect to it over Hamachi with everything from WinXP 32-viewers to other Win7 machines and have never had any problems ...

Re: Blank screen after RDP sessions
I'm guessing it's something maybe with Ultra VNC and the specific hardware on your Dells under Win7 because I have it up and running on my custom desktop with Win7 64-bit with absolutely no problems, including running it as a system service and as easily as I set it up on my netbook running WinXP ...

Re: Blank screen after RDP sessions
No idea about your issue with RDP and VNC only displaying when RDP is connected, but I can answer your other question. Yes, UltraVNC is compatible with 64-bit Win7, I've been running it as such for a year or so now. There is a specific version of UltraVNC for 64-bit OSes, you can find that here ...

Re: remote blank monitor problem
Hello, I know this thread is a few months old, but I am having the same issue, however, in your last post Kirck, you mention that it is a bug in 1.0.8.2 that has not been repaired yet where this only takes place when the video hook driver is enabled? Everything else works in Ultra VNC 100% for me ...

Cool, I don't have that enabled on the other computer that Rocketdock is visible on, so it's odd that it works there, but I shall give it a try and report back, thanks!

[solved] Rocketdock issue... any software have transparency
Hey all, I have a small dilemma and I was curious if anybody could help me with it. It's not drastically important, so if nobody has any ideas, it's not a problem. It's more of an inconvenience than a show-stopping issue for me :) Here it is. I am at university most of the year. I remote into the ...

Re: Win7 Ultra VNC Issue...?
****UPDATE***
Ok, the first problem seems to have gone away. I am in a different place now and it seems to connect just fine.
However, I have a new issue. If I try to use the chat function from my netbook to my desktop, the server will crash on the desktop...?
Not sure what would be causing that...

Win7 Ultra VNC Issue...?
Hey all! I took a look around the forum and read as many of the FAQs I could, but I haven't been able to solve this problem...here goes! I own a desktop and netbook, both computers are running Hamachi to connect to each other for over-internet LAN networking. Up until recently, they were both ...
