Re: How read VNC status connection with VB.Net
Thanks for your answer, I'll try this way, there is a table of the event code? From a fast test: event =1 Connected, event=3 Disconnected, I'm interested to the other possible code. Thanks According to what I found in the logging.cpp there are three states: 1 - User logged in 2 - Login failed/was ...

Re: Newb question
The problem in this case is most likely the network setup. YourHomePC <--> Router <--> Internet <--> Router <--> YourWorkPC So you need to know IP (external one, from your ISP) of your Router at home and the Router most be configured to relay every incoming connection on port 5900 (or any other port ...

Re: Cannot see VB.NET window on certain computers
The Apply button should have been there for quiet some time: http://www.uvnc.com/install/configuration.html Also, I don't know about a problem with a jumping/trembling cursor. If you're not using the latest version, please update to 1.0.8.2. If the problem still exists with that version, please ...

Re: Cannot see VB.NET window on certain computers
I think this will work for every computer, yes.
If you need or want those Transparency effects, then yes, readd it and try again. Also hit 'Apply' first before closing the dialog.

Another possible solution:
Code: Select all
UltraVNCServer -> Admin Properties -> [Check] Capture Alpha-Blending

Re: How read VNC status connection with VB.Net
One way would be to check the Event-Log of the system for an UltraVNC-Connect-Event (and Disconnect too, of course).

Re: File transfer between a server and the client
In that case, everything is said. I mean, the message already tells you what's going...either the VNC Server on the CentOS does not support file transfers (I don't think so) or it's disabled.

Check the toolbar, there's an icon with a green arrow over some windows, that's what you're looking for.

Re: Thank you for Ultr@VNC!
I also wanna say a big Thank You!
We're using UltraVNC every day, and without it we wouldn't be able to deliver support and service to our clients like we do now.

As far as I know, that's the Mirror Driver, just also remove that one from the line.

Re: /Silent installation but without installing service
You'll need a inf-File which you can pass into the installation like this: Command UltraVNC_1.0.8.2_Setup.exe /silent /loadinf=install.inf install.inf [Setup] Lang=en Dir=C:\Program Files\UltraVNC Group=UltraVNC NoIcons=0 SetupType=full Components=ultravnc_server,ultravnc_viewer Tasks=installservice ...

We have two SuSE Servers which are working just fine. Maybe the VNC Server is by default on view only? Please check the configuration.

Re: embed uvnc server in my onw c# app
Maybe you wanna have a look at the Single Click Client?
Also, UltraVNC is licensed under the GPL (V2, I think), meaning that if you embed code from UltraVNC into your application, you'll have to license your application also under the terms of the GPL.

Ctrl+Alt+F3, Alt stays pressed on remote machine
Hello.
If I'm pressing Ctrl+Alt+F3 to switch to "View Only", it seems like that the Alt-key is staying pressed on the remote machine.
Best Regards,
Bobby

Re: Encrypting Passwords
Hello guys.
You can find the encrypting method at vncviewer, vncAuth.cpp, Line 86. It does lead down to an external call to an DES encryption method: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_Encryption_Standard

Re: Monitor Blanking does not carry over to desktop change
I can confirm that 1.0.6.5 is not refreshing the screen if the remote screen is blanked (at least not if you enable alpha blending with a custom bmp). You need to hit the refresh button to see the changes, turning down the connection options didn't fix it either.

Displaying message during Remote Blank Monitor
Hello.
A nice feature would be to display a custom message while the remote Input/Monitor is toggled off, so that the other side still knows what's going on.
Greetings,
Bobby

Connection dies during file transfer
Hello. We have a problem with the File Transfer, which fails every now and then...the problem is, if the phenomenon appears, it's always in a row, and then it's working again for some time. The file gets completely transfered, it's not corrupt or anything but the connection dies with a Socket error ...
