I think your problem might be with encryption. Right click on the SC icon in the lower tray then click Close in the pop-up menu. Then go to the system running the Viewer. If you see an error message re a missing DSMPlugin, then your using encryption with the Viewer and not with SC, or visa versa ...

I've got the same problem. With non encrypted connection.

- I start vncviewer -listen first
- I run SC and choose connection, SC reports connection ok
