Re: RemoteZilla: Vista/Win7 VNC Helpdesk Remote Support Soft
I'm having a LOT of trouble getting my RemoteZilla 2.0.1.0 module to run on Vista & Win7 machines. As soon as clients enter their name, the session automatically ends. I'd say it happens 4/5 times on Vista & Win7 machines.

Re: RemoteZilla: Vista and Windows 7 VNC Remote Support Soft
Run it in listen mode then use the connect to repeater menu option. That will keep the viewer in the tray. I just tried that, but as soon as I closed the Viewer window, it removed itself from the Repeater service. The Viewer stayed in the system tray, but only as a "direct" listener. I want to ...

Re: RemoteZilla: Vista and Windows 7 VNC Remote Support Soft
Can anyone tell me how to keep the Viewer "listening" when in proxy/repeater mode. Whenever I disconnect from a computer, the Viewer unloads from memory. It doesn't do that when listening in direct mode.

Re: RemoteZilla - Vista Service Reboot & Reconnect &
I'm having issues with the final release (4/28 and 4/30 both). The beta customer module and viewer worked fine, these do not (at least when the customer modules and run on Server 2003 machines). It's like the customer module isn't even trying to run.

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
I just found this in the system log of the event viewer:
"The rz_service service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
So, I implemented a "goodbye" message, and that is now appearing within seconds of the client entering his/her name. So, it is being ended automatically somehow.

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
Im having MAJOR issues this weekend. After uninstalling and rerunning the customer module (on a machine where it had been working fine), I get a Windows error about the "Remote Desktop Service." Closing the error just makes it return. Only solution is to remove the rz_service by hand and restart ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
Edit: The program was looking for ConnectTimeout= (old label) instead of RetryTimeOut= which the new config has in it. If you change ReTryTimeOut to ConnectTimeout it will work ok, or better yet, download the new beta. The program has been changed to look for RetryTimeout in the new beta and was ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
Also (this is more of an annoyance I can handle if I must), whenever I do certain things on the remote machine like log on to a user's desktop, log off, switch to the Welcome Screen, etc., the customer module/service seems to stop and then start again after a few seconds, causing my viewer to close ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
If I close my viewer (or restart my computer), the client's computer shows the "Technician Selection" dialogue box. Is there a setting to make it automatically attempt to reconnect? I only want direct/automatic connections for each module. Should I delete all the files from the "Configs" folder?

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
Definitely better, but I now get a new prompt every 30 seconds if I don't respond. Better than no reconnect, but I can see my screen filling up with prompts if I'm away for 10 minutes. I suppose I can close my listener when not needed, though. I LOVE AskUserName!!! Will we be able to customize the ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
I am having trouble, though, with the module not responding if I don't respond to the prompt right away. It has to recycle if the connection times out so it might take a minute to re-try. If it doesn't connect back within less than a minute let me know. Most of the time it never retries unless the ...

OK, but is there a maximum? Sometimes I'm out and people want to run the module so I have access when I get back (sometimes 8 or more hours later). The maximum is a bit over 340 years or so. Don't keep your customers waitng that long. They might find another tech. :D Nah, most of my clients are ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
RetryTimeout= - This is the amount of time the customer module will attempt to connect before giving up and displaying the connect dialog. 1 minute is 12 intervals. Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
OK, new problem that I'm stumped on. I ran the same customer module of today's 2.0.0.0 beta on two computers on my LAN (one XP & one Home Server 2003). The XP runs one of the RZ.exe instances using 70%-95% CPU usage while the other runs normally at around 1%-2%. I don't think it is the OS because I ...

Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
I'm having a serious issue with the 2.0 beta...hopefully you can help. Sometimes my viewer (1.0.5.4) will crash and any clients I was connected to will not reconnect after reopening the listener. Even uninstalling the AVNC on the client and running it again doesn't always help. Any ideas?

Can we have a way to tell Creator.exe which configuration file to use when building the customer module? I have one config for WAN clients and one for LAN connections. Re: OneClick - Vista SC w/Reboot & Reconnect & XP Sa
The latest AVNC/OneClick beta is great! Two questions: 1. Is there (or will there be) an option to start it in service mode automatically? 2. Will there be a "Stop" icon on the client's desktop in the final version? My clients use that as a way to tell if I'm still connected or not. Thanks!
