VNCSpread & Driver

Actually Bradm is right. It's not possible to install video driver using psexec.exe from sysinternal. But there is another solution for this problem: As far as you remenber, the previous versions (up to RC14) of Ultr@VNC installer included driver installation. But sourceforge.net does not allow to ...

What I would like to know is how to keep students from changing settings within the server part of the VNC application, since it is installed on the Desktop machines that the students are using. Why don't you simply remove the icon from "All Users" profile to "Administrator" profile (or just simply ...

Re: How do you do a remote install of the mirror driver.

bradm wrote:I though about using psexec.exe by sysinternals, but they don't have administative access to install the driver
Which system do you use? On Windows 2000/XP psexec can be executed in the context of any user.

Uninstall does not appear to operate cleanly -- some files and the shortcuts are removed but the service and some residual files still exist after uninstall and the service still launches after reboot. Is there any way to make it remove everything? Are you interested in removing Ultr@VNC remotely ...

PortNumber

In the case you want to have the same setting for all users it's necessary to: 1. install and run Ultr@VNC as a service 2. use Default settings (winvnc.exe -defaultsettings) instead of User settings (winvnc.exe -settings) Sergiy P.S. Look also here [topic=61][/topic] and here [topic=58][/topic]

"Push" Type Installation?

Oliver wrote a nice .cmd script for this purpose. You can download it here:

P.S. It works fine with versions up to RC14 (driver was still integrated into the package).
