UltraVNC

The solution I found was to uninstall 1.0.8 and install 1.0.6 on the server machine and all works ok with 2 machines running W7 HP x64.

Seems to be an issue with 1.0.8.

Unfortunately both failed to solve the problem.

Maybe I should try an older version of UVNC...

OK, it was running as a Service. I also checked ultravnc.ini and LocalInputsDisabled=0 (read/write, control allowed) And on vncviewer I delete saved settings and tried again. Status is the same - I can connect, and can transfer files, but I'm locked in a world of view only with 1.0.8... W7 Home Prem ...

RE 3) Server is running as application on a Vista or WIN7 and you have an elevated "system" window open. To access "system" windows winvnc need to be running as service. Clean install of W7 Home Prem and UNVC on 2 machines.
Connected via wired home network.
Can connect ok but when I see the desktop on the remote machine my mouse will move but not allow me to select/click anything.
File transfer works fine.
Any ideas ?

But when outside home (eg. on hotel wireless network) I can connect to the PC if I use the dynamic IP address which is shown on my router ...
