Re: Windows Server asking for password even when it was save
Thanks a lot.
I´ve posted two topics today, and they're different issues. Let me explain better this one.
On Windows Server 1.2.0.6 works fine, saves the server password when changed, etc but _remote viewer_ keeps asking for password even when launched from a saved "with password" .VNC file.

Re: 1.2.0.6 "change password" not working on WinXP
I´ve posted an update after reporting the issue.
Seems new password never gets saved.
Workaround: copy ultravnc.ini's "passwd=" and "passwd2=" lines manually from another computer running win7 with updated passwords (and restart computer or winvnc service).

Update: ultravnc.ini doesn't get really updated. File timestamp changes, but passwords don't.

Windows Server asking for password even when it was saved
UltraVNC 1.2.0.6
Access via UltraVNC to Windows Server 2008, "save connection" (including password).
Next time, password prompt is shown again
This only happens with Windows Server, working as expected in Win7. 1.2.0.5 worked as expected on Win Server also.
Thanks

1.2.0.6 "change password" not working on WinXP
Scenario:
1.2.0.5 working fine on winxp. Update to 1.2.0.6. Changing passwords doesn't work.
ultravnc.ini gets changed (new encrypted passwords are saved) but access is only possible with old password (!!??)
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Re: KB+Mouse not working on a simple scenario
I solved the problem deleting the "view-only" password. I don't remember to define it, maybe a single password prompt fills both passwords? And even when the problem is solved, why from PC1 worked fine before?
Anyway, thanks for your response and interest.

KB+Mouse not working on a simple scenario
I have a LAN, and several PCs with VNC. Let´s call them PC1, PC2, PC3 and PC4. These are the facts:
- Connect from PC1 to PC4 works fine.
- Connect from PC1 to PC3 works fine.
- Connect from PC2 to PC4 works fine.
- Connect from PC2 to PC3: view only, keyboard and mouse not working, double checked ...

Re: Windows Server 2003 crash on disconnect
Try without the mirror driver.
The driver is the only part that has kernel memory access and can BSOD
the server...
Without driver is hard to manage remote screen (I have to manually refresh the screen continuously).
I have several similar servers, and they have the mirror driver and work fine ...

Windows Server 2003 crash on disconnect
I have a Win2003 R2 x64 with SQL Server 2000, Hamachi and VNC. I´ve configured VNC 64 1.0.9.5 the usual way (mirror driver, etc). When I close the client window (to disconnect) the server restarts. No logs are generated, just an unexpected restart (of the whole server, of course).
