Has anyone ever toyed with displaying Online or Offline Status (or Available/Not Available) on a web page based on the availability of a viewer turned on in listening mode? I'm looking for suggestions.

I'm referring to an SC-type implementation from a website.

In your helpdesk.txt file, delete this line:

[DIRECT]

Re-Compile, and using that version, your user will have to provide input to connect.

Has anyone out there done this? Is there a way for a us to add an e-mail function to SC? Maybe an add-on to the txt file, or an add-on to the executable? I know there are prerequities for this, but I'm surprised I couldn't find anybody wanting to do this. I realize that the SC Concept is lightweight ...

You can do this with SC. Pull up your helpdesk.txt file, and use the '[DIRECT]' command. Note that if you have multiple connection options in your file for your user to choose from, only the first one is valid after adding DIRECT.
