I closed 5500 and 5901 fore the server and now it works through WAN.
PLUS I had to assign Public IP to the Viewer (Vista) by using Gap NAT in the router which is very confusing.
The user interface to create server on the viewer is a bit confusing and it could be omproved.

When UAC is disabled, XP can do telnet to Vista.
SC on XP cannot connect to Viewer on Vista using PublicIP.
Can you test XP to XP in the same LAN using PublicIP ?
I want to make sure if this works in XP XP environment.

Screen saver was disbaled from the first installation of Vista.
BTW even TeamViewer cannot work, Vista to XP.

But afaik SC is not listening, only manually initiated outgoing connection is allowed. If you install 7zip, you can easily open SC executable and see, what connection parameters are written in embedded helpdesk.txt file. by menu I mean 1o more text line yoy are about to doubleclick to connect. >1o ...

Port 5500, 5800, 5900 for XP are also opened, incoming TCP packet from Internet will be routed to XP.

Kaspersky Internet Security 7 and Vista Firewall are disabled.

if it is not an autentication e.g. for access to domain, but access to router itself, it looks like port 5500 forwarding does not work. but what kind of router page it is ? btw if successful viewing viewer pc web page through router, it would still obviously show router address, not viewer one ...
