Thanks redge,

I closed 5500 and 5901 fore the server and now it works through WAN.

PLUS I had to assign Public IP to the Viewer (Vista) by using Gap NAT in the router which is very confusing.

The user interface to create server on the viewer is a bit confusing and it could be omproved.

Viewing XP desktop in Vista using private IP address, now it is working.

But not the WAN version.

How do I set Vista to eneable this ?

The setting in the System Property in the Control Panel of Vista is set to allow Remote Assistance Connection.

But I assume there will be other relevant settings ...

If the PcHelpWare_server.exe is to run on the server,

why does it try to connect to 192.168.1.6 which is ther server private IP ?

Cannot get PCHW working

Hi!
I am trying to run PCHW Rel 1.0.

The LAN environment is :
XP Viewer
Vista Server
Both firewalls are disabled.
Both PCs port 5500 and 5901 are port-forwarded.
Both PCs are in the same LAN.
The router is NAT router.

When PcHelpWare_viewer.exe is run in direct connection using port 5500,

Hi! Just installed UltraVNC RC14 and EchoVNC 2.32.
Please explain in detail how to setup these two so that I can avoid hustles going through router and firewall. The OS combination is Server Vista/viewer Vista or Server XP/Viewer Vista.
