johnhct ... thanks for the update, I'll ask my client to force an AVG update and rescan. I'll post back with results.

Bahaha! Email sent to CPSecure's virus submission box was rejected because of "Illegal attachment".

Oh well.

I ran helpware through the malware scanner at http://virusscan.jotti.org/ , here are the results:

I can confirm that my client is also using AVG, and that AVG is identifying PCHelpware as trojan PSW.Agent.RWL.

Can you provide more details? The text of the alert, etc? I have a client reporting they were hacked via pchelpware, but I am wondering if it couldn't be a false alarm from AVG.
