Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Datarunner Have you got a firewall running on the PC you are having problems with? It seems something is blocking the VNC port as I have seen this with other VNC based programs to, Some firewalls like Naughty Nortons or Mccaffrey's do not always prompt the end user when they are "blocking" a ...

Re: Update of SC ! 1.0.5 + UPX 3.03 LZMA BEST + 7-ZIP 4.60
New UltraVNC and new 7-zip released. So I bump the topic :) Can we now get a new "authorized" SC version built on sc.uvnc.com? What's there currently are 2 ancient versions, one that's not even a stable build (it's RC23) and the other is basedon 1.00, a version long since replaced with much better ...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Dudes Instead of splitting hairs and debating over whether this SC is better than that SC or this tool is better than that tool. Lets pool all our resources, combine teams and code an ace SC tool which would give the hostnames of devices connected at the top of the viewer window. I am not sure if ...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Hi
I've noticed a lot of recent activity in this thread, has CyberDoc, Radeon, Caramel, pgmoney, and Greta been pooling resources?
Any idea when we are going to be able to see the hostname/PC name on the viewer?
Thanks
John

Radeon
Your Single Click also worked on my Vista x64 PC and did not crash with the UAC admin password promot when I tried regedit or msconfig
Greta
What are repeaters and why do you use a repeater?
Do you have the latest graphics drivers and updates for your Vista?

Re: OneClick - SC w/Safe Mode Reboot & Reconnect w/Vista
That is a good viewer Phil :) Smaller than the vncviewer.exe and is actually a bit more responsive using SC. However I encountered 1 minor issue with a wireless network, however wireless networks are generally not the most reliable sort of network so I will put that down to the network as oppose to ...

Re: Whats better? SC or pchelpware
I personally prefer Single Click. As I found PCHelpware to be difficult to set up and also had slow and juttery performance. However other users may find that PC Helpware is more flexible for their needs. What I like most about Single Click is that it is relatively easy to setup and works with the ...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Radeon mentioned something about a company he purchased support software from which may benefit from Opensourced software. So if that company (or any other company) distributed software which was pretty much OpenSource software but they charged money for it (sold OpenSource Software), would they be ...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Hi Oliver Thanks for clearing up the murkey grey area which surrounds OpenSourceCode. I find it rather confusing that companies such as spam B market Opensource software, without sharing the code and with hardly any differences between the Opensource version and their branded version (in some cases ...

Why not remove the link instead of putting up some duff file with a txt in?
I tell you, it's enough to make you go mad downloading that file several times thinking it got truncated or something...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
http://www.advantig.com/files/scVista.zip don't work... " Sorry, that page cannot be found " :( Pgmoney's link didn't work for me either :( I was looking forward to try that out as I have been an avid fan of Caramal and Radeon's Single Click application. Does anyone know of a single click which ...

Re: SC + Vista Compatibility - WORKING!!!!!!
Kudos for Radeon et al :-D For ages we've been trying to connect various XP to Vista PC's for remote admin and what not...with NO success. By chance Google took me to this site, we gave Ruis' UltraVNC a whirl but had issues with the hook driver not working after reboot and also the fact it wasn't ...
