Installed TightVNC and it worked flawlessly right out of the box.
Need to do something now about audio. That may not have a solution.

No Luck, Vista PC on XP Network, 1.04 RC16 (OK NOW!)
I've been running UVNC on this network for a long time and it is simple to setup and use. To setup a server, you install the software, set the password, open port in firewall, do portforwarding in router, and you are off to the races. I did all that with the Vista PC using 1.04 RC16 with UAC ...

Re: Sound
Apologies, but I didn't follow this discussion too well... This is what I gathered from it: Ultra VNC does not support remote sound. Windows Remote Desktop does if both machines have XP Pro Is this right? Also, it sounds like there is no other free VNC product (or paid product for that matter) that ...

Re: ctrl-alt-delete still does not work
I am not "service" savvy, but I kept getting messages that winvnc was Registered as a Service. Perhaps it was not started as a service? (how to tell?) I ended winvnc, then from Start, started it as a service, and found No Icon on the task bar which was somewhat surprising. So I rebooted, the icon ...

ctrl-alt-delete still does not work
Ultra is installed in Program Files and is running as a service on the server. (XP Pro) I have read a lot of threads trying to find something to solve this problem but have found nothing that works. Oh, I am NOT trying to access a PC behind a Router, instead, I'm trying to access a PC in the LAN ...
