Re: Problem with 1.1.2 in Windows 8 Pro
Thank you! 1.1.3 works, password can now be entered.
only issue is that now after entering the password, there is a quick disconnect (viewer shuts down) immediately when the Windows 8 Start screen appears. Reconnecting works and did not notice any disconnects after that.

Chat text in reverse order in Win9x machines
Anyone notice if you open a chat window when connected to a Win9x machine, the chat text starts from the bottom and the next chat message appears above it? instead of the usual top to bottom....

This would be a nice feature, as far as I know, only one monitor is supported (the primary monitor)

Re: Is PCHELPWARE 2008 compatible
If you are using Windows 2003/(and maybe 2008) Server, or your system has DEP turned on by default, you will need to disable DEP by clicking on Control Panel, System, Advanced Tab, Performance/Settings Button, Data Execution Prevention Tab, and enable/check "Turn on DEP for essential Windows ...

Re: Known Problems with PCHW Rel 1.0
from what I've seen on a Win98SE machine, the chat window scrolls text from bottom to top, (the last chat text appears at the top of the chat window, which then scrolls off the screen)
Makes chatting kind of useless, anyone see this?

Re: Windows 2003 Server R2 will not extract or run pchelpwar
what works with pcHelpware:
Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services:
What fails:
Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:
So it looks like those pcHelpwares that fail to run are all on machines where the 2nd option is enabled.
anyone else confirm?

Re: Windows 2003 Server R2 will not extract or run pchelpwar
any update on this ? tried to connect to a client with SBS 2003 and he had the same problem. The .exe doesn 't even run.
as a good guess , tried running in compatibility mode (Windows 2000) . That did not work either
