Maximum number of digits in ID

Hey guys,

I've got a question, I couldn't find it on the forum yet.
Could you tell me when using a repeater what the maximum number of digits is for the ID you can use? Is it possible to use for example an idea of 6 digits or even 8 digits?

Tnx in advance.
Grtz.
