Re: Can't connect using Windows 7

I don't think that's the problem, the existing client uses 1.0.9.5 and it works fine, and if there's an encryption problem then there's usually an error.

I'm suspicious about the lack of network traffic when it's trying to connect, it leads me to think that Windows is blocking the connection somehow.

Can't connect using Windows 7

VNC Server PC has XP Pro and v1.0.8.2 using the SecureVNCPluginARC4.dsm plugin and has been running happily for some time. It sits on the internet and is accessed directly through an ADSL router. Client 1 has XP Pro and v1.0.9.5 and connects without issues. Client 2 is a Windows 7 32 bit laptop with ...

Re: Stuck with View Only on SBS 2008

Thanks redge, I had viewer inputs disabled.
It appears to be checked by default with SBS 2008.
I don't think I've seen that setting used before which is why I didn't notice it.
That's my excuse anyway :)

Stuck with View Only on SBS 2008

I've installed 1.0.8.2 on SBS 2008 64 bit, and when I connect to it from an XP PC I can only connect in view-only mode. I've set different passwords for normal and view-only. It happens with or without the video driver installed. I've tried it with VNC authentication, and MSLogon 1 and 2 ...

Re: Authentication error with multiple connections

I could have sworn we had multiple connections working at one time on other PCs, and all of them use the DSM plugin. I must have been hallucinating... :P

Do multiple connections work OK with MS logon, and how does the security compare with using DSM?

Authentication error with multiple connections

We have a PC which will not allow multiple connections. If a second PC tries to make a connection the first connection is closed and the second PC gets the error message "Unknown authentication scheme". All PCs have v1.0.2 and Win XP, and the server has 'Multi viewer connections' set to 'Keep ...

The MTU setting should be the biggest number that works. Check out http://www.the-scream.co.uk/html/resources/adsltips.html for details. I couldn't reach the dslreports page they mentioned so I used ping to determine the max MTU size. I use a VNC repeater on my remote network so my configuration is ...

Thanks for the suggestions redge. I checked the Event Viewer and there are no DNS problems reported there. I also checked the MTU settings and made some adjustments but it still doesn't work.

It's got me stumped.

VNC connects over VPN to one PC but not another

We have two offices, the main office and the site office. The site office connects to the main office via VPN. A PC in the site office can VNC to one PC (10.10.0.7) in the main office but fails to connect to another PC (10.10.0.6) in the main office. The .vnc files for both connections are identical ...
