Re: Getting bounced with MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2
zaga There are no other applications trying to connect that I know of. I even disabled MailWasher and dyndns updater, although both of them were set to do their job every ten minutes. Getting bounced is anywhere between approx. 5 and 55 minutes. A few years ago I used VNC Central which, if I am not ...

Re: Getting bounced with MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2
John, Replacing the MSRC4Plugin with AES makes no difference. Still get bumped off. It's got to be a software conflict and probably has nothing to do with the plugins per se. I have identical Uvnc version and setup on laptop and if I log on from desktop to laptop I have no problem with that ...

Re: Getting bounced with MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2
Thanks for feedback, guys... The stunnel bit sounds rather complex but will look further into it. Will try the AES plugin in the interim although I read somewhere that it slows things down a little. I only have a 100.0 Mbps ADSL connection. Without the DSM plugin my connection is stable so the ...

Re: Getting bounced with MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2
Do they have other security measures, then? Or are there other benefits to these tabbed viewers? The DSM plugin is what's getting me bounced. When un-ticked, the connection is stable. When ticked, I get disconnected although it might take a while. Last time I checked it was after about 55 or 56 ...

Re: Hamachi - Very easy setup of encrypted tunnelling
Thanks for prompt reply. I think I get it now, though I suppose that will eliminate access from outside via browser/java. I normally carry a USB stick with viewer and dsm plugin plus copy paste password in case it's not practical to use my lap top and I need to use someone else's computer. So I ...

Re: Hamachi - Very easy setup of encrypted tunnelling
This is copied from hamachi's site: Hamachi is secure. All Hamachi communications are encrypted and authenticated with industry-standard algorithms and protocols. Nobody will be able to see what two Hamachi peers are talking about. Not even us. What is the security issue you are concerned with when ...

Getting bounced with MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2
Using UltraVNC w/MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2 No reg on Win XP Pro (all machines) Multi-viewer connection is set to refuse new connection. Since using MSRC4Plugin my connection to server gets severed many times a day for no apparent reason. It's not from a viewer within the office and there is never a specific ...

Re: Static & dynamic IP question
Thanks for reply, bevtech First off, the following sentence in my post was incorrect. My local IP address is dynamic but I have a website hosted in the US which has, of course, a static IP in conjunction with UltraVNC . Delete the 'in conjunction with UltraVNC' bit The next sentence should have been ...

Static & dynamic IP question
My local IP address is dynamic but I have a website hosted in the US which has, of course, a static IP in conjunction with UltraVNC. Is there a possibility to use the latter IP? I have looked at http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm and while it seems that the explanation is there, I ...

MSRC4 doesn't work via Http
When I use MSRC4 plugin with same key on all computers I can't access any of them via Http. Although I enter the correct address http://123.456.789.10: 5 8 00/ I get 'Error. Host xyz.xyz.xyz.x port 5 9 00 is not a RFB server' In order to access any of the computers I must deactivate the DMS plugin ...
