Can't specity a group with new MS Logon (MS Logon II)

Post by smalavasi »

Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 Server that is my Primary (and unique at this moment) domain controller. I have created a local protection group and I'd like to add it in the MS logon II group of users, but ,if I look for it, or trying to add without searching, I got an error (unknown user/group/object). What kind of group do I need to create in order to add with MS logon II ?

Thanks in advance
Marscha

Is your AD in native mode?
Is your MSLogonII group a global or domain local group?
Is the protection group you want to add a global or domain local group?

Group nesting requires native mode.
You can nest
- domain local groups in domain local groups
- global groups in global groups
- global groups in domain local groups

This is not specific to UltraVNC, this is plain Microsoft.
