Building up the viewer source

Post by linoter »

Hi Rudi

I'm trying to compile your viewer source code. Since I got in trouble with the libraries in VS6 (uuid.lib) I downloaded VS2005 Express as you suggested somewhere in the uvnc forum.
Meanwhile, the converted project builds up successfully. However, when I start the viewer a message box appears that the msvcp80d.dll wasn't found.
Nevertheless, your version of viewer does't seem to use this dll. Is there a switch in the project properties? Or what does I have to change to get rid of the use of this dll?
Sorry for this "stupid" question but I'm more used to java and eclipse...

Thanks for your effort
Stephan

I had a similar issue

Basically I can get the src to build in release configuration however I get the error runnning on another machine:
The application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem
However I managed to fix my by following the steps here: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Program ... 78545.html

under project settings, C/C++, Code Generation, set Runtime Library to "Multi-Threaded (/MT)". instead of /MD

Good Luck!

Michael
