Can't Save Connection Options using MS Logon

Post by larjohns »

1) Configure Ultra VNC Server to use MS Logon
2) Connect to Ultra VNC Server from another machine
3) Right click title bar and choose save connection options
4) Choose yes when prompted that this might allow someone to find the VNC password
5) Close Viewer session
6) Double click viewer shortcut created in #4
7) Resulting error: VNC Authentication failed!

I understand this is probably the way it should act to prevent users from doing something unsecure; however, we are a small group of developers currently all using the same password for a dozen or so machines. We want to move to the Active Directory Authentication but a few curmudgeons are upset that they will have to type too much. Any idea how to get the box to at least populate with their username? if not simply connect from clicking their shortcut?

I'm still experiencing this trouble. Please explain where I can download the "MS Logon 2" (or is that already part of the RC18 distribution?).

ok, documentation is very limited, I'll promise to improve this whit the next version of mslogon2.
mslogon2 is not yet part of the current RCs, but will be integrated soon. :)
