Why is single click not compatible with tightVNC?

And some followup questins:

Are there any plans to remedy this in the near future?

Is there a workable alternative?

If no to the above two, I may volunteer to implement a fix or alternative.

Tightviewer does not support repeater, need to be removed, but then
mode II will not longer work.
Some initial message was added that tell some server info, need to be removed.
TightEncoding is not used, but Zrle instead. Tightencoding need to be added back, but as it also include jpeg the exe size will grow with 50%.
There was also some code generation problem, jpeg lib is build with other
options making it incompatible with the smaller "multithreaded dll" build
of the other parts.

Looking at the above restrictions it's "almost" not possible.

Thankls for the insight. A followup question:

Looking at it from the other end, what modifications would be neded to tightVNC to make it interopate with SC?
