File transfer sort
File transfer sort
i'd like to sort files in file transfer windows by clicking on column headers present (name, size, date modified).
Re: File transfer sort
I vote for this and the ability to directly enter/store filesystem paths.
Si.

Re: File transfer sort
Almost done.
Will be available in 1.0.3 version, due by mid-august or september

Re: File transfer sort
yes, that would be nice...
i'd also like to mention, that sometimes the sort rule does not behave like in MS Explore.
For example if you have files or directories starting with something like ! or _ or - or #
If you can have an Eye on it, that might be nice?!

Re: File transfer sort
Bump!
Really looking forward to this feature :)
Thanks for all you do.

Re: File transfer sort + Direct FilePathSpec Selection
I'm glad to hear that file sorting & direct filepaths are under consideration as I always switch to an old program for File Transfers. (Ultra VNC is being better for remote control, but insufficient for File Transfer.)
I'll share some suggestions on that subject.
For the Direct filepath entry, perhaps make it a Direct FileSPEC entry - e.g. allow F:\Apps\Database\Access\*.NEW
but if that folder exists but there are no *.NEW files, don't bomb out, just show that directory with no files (perhaps a small msg saying no FileSpec match) I mention this because my older remote control Ver.3 allowed this then Ver. 4 didn't and so if there were no matching files i'd have to retype F:\Apps\Database\Access\*.* and see a thousand files - annoying.
Perhaps even make the filespec apply to the folders shown if the user used a *. filespec - e.g. C:\TRASH\TEMP*. could show folders TEMP1 TEMP2 TEMP3 and files TEMPABC TEMP123 but not all the other folders.
For the filesort I'd suggest that the sort choice and direction be remembered. e.g. remember (.ini) that the user last sorted by Date, Descending on the Local Side and sorted by Name Ascending on the Remote side.
It would be nice to right-click a file (or selected files) and choose Send or Receive (and right-click+rename, or delete, or open, etc)
Less important, but still on subject... If the file transfer is minimized perhaps the task-bar icon could have a progress indicator and/or Change color or icon when done.
Possibly remember (.ini) the last used position, size of the file transfer window.
Possibly remember (.ini) the last n Direct FilePathSpec's typed in on remote and local window.
I also had a Network drive comment - will poste that separately.
Thanks for any consideration given.

Re: File transfer sort
About that Network File Transfer issue i noted above...
I almost suspect that i'm just being retarded
and am overlooking a basic setting but
I don't see any of the network drive letters
on the Remote Machine side of the File Transfer
Nor My Computer so i could navigate there.
On a similar vein, selecting Network Favorites
or Desktop or My Documents results in
"ERROR: Media is not present in the Remote Drive.
If remote network drive letter support would
be a new feature I'd say that would be muy importante.
