No Query on Locked Screen

Post by s0kud0 »

We are mandated by security to have VNC query for user acceptance which works great for the most part as if they are logged out it does not query and if they are at the machine and in it does. One case though it doesn't account for.. when the user is away and the machine is locked.. We would like an optional flag to allow this to not query so that on most machine this worked as it does today but on certain machines we could flag it to allow connections.. I don't know if this made any sense but right now on these machines we have to simply turn off querying all together..

Thanks for any help or pointers if I missed a setting..

What about setting the timer big enough...

If user does NOT deny within 60 sec, you get access.
But it all depend on the company policy.

This is true and an argument could be made that if it is locked there is a reason.. we may have to just use the timeout on certain machines and not on others.. Thanks for the quick reply!

We have UltraVNC deployed to our 17,000 workstations here at work and use it for all of our remote control and everyone absolutely loves it!! Thanks again!
