Winvnc ID: option to command line
Winvnc ID: option to command line
When will it be possibile to pass the ID: option to VNC server from the command.
ID: available with SingleClick (winvncsc) and winvnc as GUI not winvnc CLI
great idea to add:
winvnc as service only act as remote control
(not remote support, done with SingleClick)
command line for full release of winvnc as SERVICE SYSTEM
winvnc -autoreconnect -connect hostname::port id 1234
Anyone can let their system ready without user logged on !
then viewer can connect as secure with password with some ID restrictions feature available on repeater 1.0.4
for reverse connection.
+ javaviewer https ID to repeater
so if you go some cybercoffee where only signed software accepted, you can use web browser to connect your computer from web as secure ssl https

Thank you for the implementation of the -ID switch for the server in the last stable (but not released) version. very fast, very flexible, great !!
But now many users have a following problem, I think:
You don't have to set a password, because of using repeater, but if you are an restricted user under XP, it's not possible to start "winvnc -run" before "winvnc -autoreconnect ID...." and so on. Something like the -registry switch from SC is missing. For this usage, you don't need any registry key e.g. for password. But winvnc tries to create registry keys, what is restricted. Is correct, isn't it?
In general: Why this strong feature-seperation between SC and server?

As I guess I would say that they are trying to keep SC as simple as possible.

hi rudi,
of course SC is a special build. I only wanted to say: would be nice if there was a possibility to run winvnc with the -registry switch in a later version. This would be a important thing, if you have restricted rights under NT/2K/XP/2K3, and you want to start winvnc with -run and after that with -autoreconnect ID...
but: thanxx for your great work 'till now, rudi !!
@bevtech: I'll look for programmers, ok?
