winvnc video hook driver acceleration

Post by redge »

So I see 2 interesting evolution 3D librairie and new video hook driver !
http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/ from this [topic=4424][/topic]

and this very good news about new driver acceleration
[topic=4421][/topic]

So, At I understand, with this way, support DirectX and another good news, support overlay mode and no need to disable hardware acceleration.

UltraVNC video hook driver + engine of snk12 + hirrlicht engine create librairie 3D compatible D3D, OpenGL

With all good news, I sure, there a great deal to making a new video hook driver more faster with more compatibilty without leave hardware acceleration from host. :D

Could you explain how it is possible to support overlay mode? I know that SnagIt and other image capture programs do this by hooking ddraw32.dll. But it sounds like you plan to use different method.

Will you use Irrlicht as a software renderer, to enable Direct3d/DirectDraw support for mirror driver?
