Install repeater as a service during start up of Windows

Post by BAVAN »

What about the possibility to install Repeater as a service just like WinVNC server? No need to log in as a user in XP to be able to automatically start up Repeater.

If you want a workaround there are utilities that allow you do to that: for example firedaemon. You can set up many applications to run as service with that.

I have installed repeater v1.04 but couldn't find any program folder UltraVNC Repeater in the list of my XP START - Programs. This is the reason why I've asked the question. What is going wrong, is the repeater program not installed correctly? I just ran the Repeater.exe program unzipped from the Repeater zipped downloaded file from the UVNC webserver. There is no installation or setup program included in the zip file so how would this program folder be created in order to select the requested system service activation of repeater via the XP START Programs UltraVNC folder options? Only UltraVNC Server & Client options are listed in the UltraVNC folder. Tx.
